COMPLETED BUILD · FAMILY FURNITURE

A home for
make-believe.

The kids’ playroom armoire.

I built this armoire for my kids’ playroom: a place to hang dress-up clothes, organize toys, and give the room a little more order without losing its personality.

A bright yellow finish and sweeping arched top make the storage part of the fun.

BEHIND THE DOORS

Room for costumes.
A place for toys.

Inside, a hanging rod keeps dress-up clothes together. A stack of four drawers helps organize toys, with shelves above for extra storage.

The layout brings several kinds of playroom storage into one piece, tucked behind a pair of full-height doors.

  • A rod for hanging dress-up clothes
  • Four drawers for toys and small items
  • Open shelves for additional storage
  • An arched top and bright yellow exterior

Built around the way my kids use their playroom.

FROM THE WORKSHOP

Making the curve.

The build photos trace the cabinet from its early structure through the curved top, door construction, and finished interior.
